Song requests -
Unless instructed otherwise, I welcome song requests from your guests through the course of the evening. However I believe if I'm doing my job correctly, I'm reading the crowd and hitting the right songs before anyone feels the need to offer suggestions on what to play.
Obviously special songs such as the first dance at a wedding or something for a grand entrance are all finalised during the planning meetings, and I take care to have exactly the right version.
I discuss any songs that you may not want to hear for any reason, and ensure they don't get played under any circumstances. I would of course also be diplomatic should a guest happen to request one of those songs.

Thank you for all your help and suggestions – you truly are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Weddings as we had no idea where to begin with all the planning of the reception and MC etc. All of your ideas really helped us.
Our first dance was so special and the atmosphere of the whole day was amazing. The dance floor was just amping; everyone was having a good old boogie! We literally had to be dragged of it at the end of the night; I just didn’t want it to end!
How important is the MC?
It is your wedding MC that brings all of the parts of your wedding day timeline together. It is the MC your guests will look to to know what is happening next, where they should be, even how to react. The role of the MC is not to talk about the bride and groom, but introduce those who will.
Being a "great public speaker" can be helpful, but usually there is much more to it than just speaking.
