We just wanted to say a big thank you for doing such a fantastic job dj’ing at our wedding. We had such an amazing day despite the rain! Our first dance was so special and the atmosphere of the whole day was amazing. The dance floor was just amping; everyone was having a good old boogie! We literally had to be dragged of it at the end of the night; I just didn’t want it to end!

We had a very special day - in no small part due to your professionalism and ability to keep things running so smoothly.

Watching the video (Gerry did a fab job by the way) it's the little touches and fill-ins that we didn't pick up on at the time that show what a class act you are - the impromptu tea-light candle game when the dessert wasn't quite ready was just brilliant.

Never flustered and a true gent, we're so glad we chose to have you as our MC / DJ.We have had countless positive comments from our guests about you, the quality of the job that you did and the entertainment you provided - and that says it all really.

Dear Nick,

Firstly we would like to apologise for taking so long to communicate our thanks for everything you did for our wedding day – your efforts were both noted and very much appreciated! From the 45-minute international call to Sydney to discuss our needs, to the running around on the day … you helped ensure our big day was a success.

Even with our last minute issues with the live band you were able to help resolve the problem and allow the ceremony music to flow as if it was always planned that way. You took on more responsibility through doing this, which was above and beyond anything we could have asked from you. We felt relaxed and confident that things would work out great – and that’s exactly what happened!

It was exciting to see so many people dancing and having a good time on the night. Certainly since the wedding day we have had numerous guests commenting on how enjoyable the wedding reception was, with it having “a bit of everything” including a range of music that appealed to everyone who was present. Having been to a number of weddings leading up to ours, we have both seen the effect a bad choice of music can have – it certainly is a talent and one that you have mastered in our experience.

It truly was one of the best days of our lives and thank you for your help in making it happen.

How important is the MC?

It is your wedding MC that brings all of the parts of your wedding day timeline together.  It is the MC your guests will look to to know what is happening next, where they should be, even how to react.  The role of the MC is not to talk about the bride and groom, but introduce those who will.  

Being a "great public speaker" is helpful, but usually there is much more to it than just speaking.
