A little history
Born in Whangarei, I've been in Auckland since 1999. I think I was five years old when I saw my first real DJ. He had a custom made system with turntables, and I remember asking him for a Michael Jackson song. He didn't play the song...
A few years later I watched a DJ perform at a sports event after party in a woolshed somewhere in the Waikato and decided that was something I wanted to do. I organised a "disco" at a hall close to my rural Northland school, and using my parents old home stereo along with some tape decks, I did my first event. I was twelve, and the results were pretty average. But we all start somewhere!
Twenty something years later I've long since traded in the tapes and home stereo for digital technology and audio from Bose. I've entertained in bars, nightclubs, tourist spots, done school balls, parties for 5 year olds and 80th birthdays, on stage, on dirt, in barns, woolsheds, fashion shows and mixed club style productions for a nationwide radio show. I've also worked in radio either in a full time or part time capacity for over fifteen years.
This is not a hobby for me, and I'm extremely passionate about what I do. I take my role in this industry very seriously and will always go out of my way to exceed not only my client's expectations, but my own personal milestones.
