"A big thank you comes from the family for the very professional way in which you handled our big day. It flowed in a way that we could not have handled ourselves and we wanted you to know that we appreciated it."

How important is the MC?
It is your wedding MC that brings all of the parts of your wedding day timeline together. It is the MC your guests will look to to know what is happening next, where they should be, even how to react. The role of the MC is not to talk about the bride and groom, but introduce those who will.
Being a "great public speaker" can be helpful, but usually there is much more to it than just speaking.
